RYA RIB Challenge - WKSC Heat - 10th June 2007
The WKSC heat to select 2 of our junior members took part on the 10th June 2007. The winners will represent West Kirby at the regional final taking place at Taylor Park in July. The winners of the region will then go to the Southampton boat show in September.

25 children turned up for a day of powerboating, some having no experience at all and other with lots. The day was all about good seamanship and safety. After lots of competition and training the winners were decided.

In the 8-12 year old category it was Henry Hughes who narrowly won, with Lawrence Quirk 2nd, and Isabelle Simons 3rd.

In the 13-16 year old category Sam Riley took 1st place, followed by Matt Shepherd and Coral Thompson came in third.

Well done to all those who took part, and thank you to all the parents and helpers for making it a good day.
