Why is the Lark for me?
Check out the reasons why sailing on a Lark might be for you
- The Lark is an exciting dinghy to race, being one of the fastest non trapeze dinghies around.
- It is ideal for West Kirby marine lake due to the prevailing north-westerly winds.
- The Lark has a spinnaker (the coloured sail out the front) that some similar-sized boats do not have. When you’re ready these add an extra level of excitement and challenge to your sailing.
- The boat is easy to manoeuvre in and out of the water for crews with a combined weight between 18 and 25 stone
- You can get up to exhilarating speeds in up to 25 knots of wind in a certain direction, which is a thrill when you are so close to the water
- You can also take your Lark out on the Dee Estuary and easily tow it to other venues
- Don’t worry about all the ropes; many of them can be decommissioned until you are ready to use them!
- The Lark is ideal if you have sailed a little before, and would like to stretch your skill levels and challenge yourself and your crew.
