West Kirby Sailing Club boasts the second largest fleet of GP14 sailing dinghies in the country. This enables us to sail in two racing groups on Thursday evenings, Gold and Silver fleets, with relegation and promotion of three boats following each of the Spring Summer and Autumn series. Racing in a mixed handicap fleet is available on Wednesday nights and Sundays, with special series at certain times such as Bank Holidays, plus the Frostbite series up to the New Year on Sundays. We also host Open and National events from time to time. Racing takes place on the Marine Lake and on the Dee Although the club encourages racing, the GP 14 is also very suitable for cruising, and any new members wishing to join the club to race or potter would receive a very warm welcome and all the help they needed to learn or improve. We consider the social aspects of Club life to be very important!

If you would like to discuss possible crewing opportunities, buying a GP14 or becoming a member please contact me on the email address above or come to the Club and ask for Mary Cunningham or Alan Jenkins.
There will be an Open Meeting for GP14s on Sunday 15th July 2007 on the marine lake when we will welcome sailors from other clubs to come and enjoy the fabulous facilities of the Clubhouse and wonderful sailing conditions.
