SAILING: KIDS GET ONBOARD AT WEST KIRBY

Fun for kids on the water was the theme when West Kirby Sailing Club hosted the first ever OnBoard Festival in Merseyside and Cheshire on Saturday 29 August. OnBoard is an RYA led initiative to give more kids the chance to learn to sail.

Lake now fully operational

The lake now fully operational after its comprehensive refit



The marine lake is now back in use, and evening and weekend lake racing has resumed with great enthusiasm !



There are plenty of lake sailing events being held in the rest of the season so please come down and join us.



And make the most of this great facility.





 

Lake racing returns

The Council have completed the work and the lake should refill on Thursday 23rd July.



Licences will go on sale on the same day and we are planning to start our belated season on Tuesday 28th July with three races an evening starting at 1900.

 

Lake Latest - Wednesday 24th June

LATEST LAKE UPDATE


Unfortunately we understand that the lake repairs are not yet finished so it will need to be emptied again after the high tides in the next few days. Therefore the next possible date for it to fill will be on or around the 22nd July. On this basis the Evening Dinghy Racing is likely to start on Tuesday 28th July.
