PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AT THE NORTH END OF THE MARINE LAKE Following a number of articles in the local press members may be aware that Wirral Council is proposing to build a hotel complex and renew the sailing school buildings at the north end of the marine lake. This development has nothing to do with West Kirby Sailing Club despite repeated references to 'Sailing Club' where they really mean 'Sailing School'. The Club takes a neutral position on the proposal except where it affects sailing or our members’ access to sailing facilities. The Club will be sympathetic towards any reasonable proposal that leads to an improvement in the sailing facilities in West Kirby and promotes the sport of sailing.
